Why

God is Pure; God is Truth; God is Faithful; He cannot be in the presence of sin. Since our bodies were not made for sin – our souls weren’t either. But sin came into the world when we rejected God’s trust in the Garden of Eden. Because he loves us He gave us Moses and the 10 Commandments to give us a path back to Him. As long as we are on the path we are moving toward God – with our hearts facing him.

God tells us that the result from breaking the commandments is Death. Death is simply the absence of God. When we fall from the path we are not facing God; this is sin, this is death. God says that the penalty for breaking the law (Commandments) is Death. Since God cannot lie and is always faithful and consistent, He must follow thru with the death sentence….otherwise He would be a liar – which He is not. BUT because he loves us so much he sent His Son Jesus to take the death sentence – thus fulfilling His Word consistently - wholly. By doing this He also showed us that we can overcome death once and for all. This victory completes the balance between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

(It's important to also understand Jesus' humanity and purpose also. He walked the same path in live that both the Israelites walked so that we could never say, "You didn't have to go thru the same things we did......" He in fact walked the same path--physically; and lived with the same burdens and joys.)

Hello. A New Day

Hello All. We all live in this beautiful vineyard provided by a loving Father as a gift. A great opportunity to get to know, to love and to serve Him. Today I begin a blog on what I've seen, heard and everyday miracles that inspire me.

My hope is to focus on conversations about justice and seeing God's miracles that are all around us. I welcome comments and look forward to hearing from you.

Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow.
