Knowing God

The burning bush exists today. Much like the first light illuminating the Mercy Seat, it lights up every morning when the first light reaches the kingdom of God on earth.

Notice that by “turning aside” Moses wants to understand and know more about God’s Kingdom. There is urgency to this; and all of this pleases God.

Very similar to God’s question to Adam in Genesis 3:9, He asks, “Where are you?” Instead of hiding, Moses says, “Here I am.”

Exodus 3:2-4   2 The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. 3 So Moses said, “ I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.” 4 When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”

Every Day Miracles

We're always looking for miracles and don't often recognize the most powerful miracles take place with the Sacraments. Every time we go to confession we hear, "Child, your sins are forgiven." (Mark 2:5)

Jesus placed this, apparently simple miracle, high above all the other miracles He performed. We should do the same.

Thoughts, Actions and Questions:

Step out in Faith; it makes it real. (He will make it real.) Do I cooperate with Grace?

We have a mission after receiving the Eucharist. What is yours?

We have a Father who delivers abundantly; all we have to do is deliver faith and believe. And then God provide. JP2P asks, "What have you done with your Baptism?"

Our eyes are veiled so that we see ordinariness in the extraordinary; when we should see the extraordinariness in the ordinary. Have you taken inventory of the miracles in your life?

Injustice: Where do I see it, what am I doing about it?

Fostered an eternal peace, produce the Fruit of The Spirit, and you will soften and purified hearts. By doing this you will reveal the unspeakable love that God wants all His children to know He has for each of them. What produces true peace in your life?

Mary

We know that Mary is a true intercessor. I imagine there are times when Jesus looks at me and shakes his head.... "When will Jimy learn?" When Jesus gets impatient with me, Mary reminds Him that He too was like me.... "Jesus, Your heart was in the right place when you disappeared and went back to the temple when you were 12; but you should have told me or your dad Joseph. Don't forget Cana when I told you to fix the problem with the wine. You weren't fully respectful of me. I was patient with you. You need to be patient with Jimy."

-----
Remember that only when we are in communion with Jesus are we capable of patience like His.

Catholic Worship

If you want to know how to worship, just take inventory of the gifts, blessings and Grace God showers on you. Be sincere and genuine in your thankfulness, and you will not be able to stop worshiping God.

Thoughts on Faith and Learning to Rest

Real rest is not the absence or cessation of work, exertion, or activity, but the presence, peace and refreshment of being with The Father.

Pay attention to your faith and take care of it; don't ever take it for granted.

Lack of faith is the beginning of anxiety; anxiety begins with the growth of unbelief. Trying to fix something on your own is not noble. Rely and rest your issues solely with God, not yourself.

Faith is very visceral and a powerful force in your life. Do not get involved with faith unless you are willing to have your life constantly changed.

Priest are Heroes

During my daily walk I was thinking and praying about the Priest situation in the Church as a follow up from the trip to Greece and Turkey. Priests need to be trained/retrained in bringing Scripture to life. Right when the first light was shinning on the Mercy Seat (Trees), God reveals in his question, “Do you not think that it is possible for me to raise up Priests when I want to? For 2000 years I have guided the Church thru good times and bad times; and it still remains.”

All this meant was: We need to make Priests heroes again! If this happens then young men will want to become priests. Their families would support them in this. (In my travels I have been collecting rocks form holy places. Now I understand why.)

God then led me to the Scriptures about Jesus when he entered into Jerusalem and everyone crying out “Hosanna to God in the highest; blessed is Him who comes in the name of the Lord…” This is when Jesus was entering into his Spiritual position as High Priest. The Chief Priests told Him to quiet them down. Jesus responded that the stones would cry out. John the Baptist said that God could raise up children of Abraham from the stones.
